Berufliche Laufbahn:

Dr. Marlon Possard, born in Innsbruck in 1995, has been a lecturer in financial accounting, civil law and tax law at various universities since 2018. He researches and teaches at the University of Innsbruck (Austria), at the Hamburger Fernhochschule (Germany), at the London School of Economics and Business (Great Britain) and at the London Metropolitan University (Great Britain).
He also teaches at further education institutes in the fields of external accounting and tax law. Since 2018 he has been publishing specialist books, articles and comments on various legal and accounting issues. As an expert, he is also a frequent interviewee on television and in newspapers (specifically on the subject of accounting fraud). Since 2021, the focus of his research, in which he also received his doctorate, has been on the philosophy of law, in particular on legal ethics and accounting ethics. Of interest is the question of how and why accountants commit white-collar crimes in connection with balance sheet manipulation. The focus is on questions of positive law, prevention, the reintegration of perpetrators in organizations and morality. At the University of Innsbruck he was a member of the academic appointments committee, the faculty council, the faculty student representatives and the subject student representatives until 2021. Since 2021 he has been a member of the scientific advisory board of the writing center of the University and State Library of Tyrol (ULB). From 2022 to 2023 he was President of the Academic Stock Exchange Association Innsbruck (ABVI). He has been a Science Ambassador (OeAD) of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research since 2022. He is currently doing his habilitation at the University of Greifswald (Germany) in the field of practical philosophy and philosophy of law.
